Orchestra Shells And Ceiling Towers
An orchestra enclosure consists of ceiling shells and side towers.
The ceiling shells are suspended above the stage to reflect sound coming from the performers out into the audience.
These are very heavy and should be suspended, or rigged, by a professional company such as Stagecraft. Most models fold when not in use allowing the stage to be used for other functions. The towers roll into place around the back and sides of the stage and complete the “enclosure”. Orchestra Lift
If your performance space has an orchestra pit, an orchestra pit lift can be a wonderful asset to the facility.
These stage lift systems move up and down within the pit area.
It can also be used during orchestral performances, musicals, and as a freight elevator when pianos are stored under the stage area.
